I instigated the planning and delivery of two x 1 day workshops with both Y10 and Y12, to produce finished textile pieces comprising print, collage, layering, surface treatments, paper, dye, stitch.

The aim of these workshops:
For the pupils to see and touch inspirational work that would fuel their enthusiasm for applied art.

• To spend time with a practising artist and get a taste for possible career options.
• To learn new skills and textile processes, to be encouraged and empowered.
• To be able to take away a completed piece of textile art at the end of the days workshop.

Outcome: The finished pieces of Y10 and Y12 are of exceptionally high quality and are displayed in the Big Arts Gallery page.

I am interested in continuing to develop work with schools and in the community, especially with groups of elderly or disabled clients.
